Cooking has been a part of my soul since childhood, a gift lovingly nurtured by my grandmother, Mildred Grigsby. She owned a rest home for the elderly, and at just 10 years old, I found myself by her side in the kitchen, learning to create meals that nourished both body and spirit. Thanksgiving and Christmas were my favorite times, filled with the warmth of family and the magic of flavors coming to life. From tangy lemon pies and hearty gumbo—making sure not to burn the flour—to tender greens, fresh bread, and biscuits, my grandmother taught me not just recipes but the art of cooking with heart.

She would smile at me and say, “Gal, you’re going to be an excellent cook one day.” Little did we know how true her words would be—especially with my last name being Cook! Over time, my love for cooking grew into an unshakable passion, one that called me to go beyond the everyday and embrace cooking as my purpose.

This journey led me to cook for my church functions and serve meals to the homeless through outreach programs. It was during these moments of service that Miracle’s Food 4Ur Soul was birthed. For me, cooking is more than preparing food; it’s about creating experiences, evoking joy, and sharing love. My recipes are simple yet infused with excitement and a personal touch that transforms every dish into a masterpiece.

As Chef Nique, I am here to craft meals that leave lasting memories. My goal is to bring skill, creativity, and passion to every plate, making each bite a celebration. Whether it’s a comforting family meal or a grand event, I’m ready to deliver flavors that feed not just the body, but the soul.
